LAKELAND - Thomas L. Sample, 79, passed away January 17, 2018, in Lakeland FL. Born May 3, 1928, in Des Moines, IA, he served as a Deacon in his church for the past 36 years. He served in the USMC, and he worked for FP&L for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Muriel Sample, his brother James, & his grandsons Sean & Elijah. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley, his two sons Laurence & Thomas, & their wives, Loraine & Chris, his 8 grandchildren Aaron, Kyle, Tyler, Temarra, Jennifer, Rex, Felicia, & Leiann, his 11 great grandchildren Reese, Gracie, Carter, Dustin, Beau, John, Logan, Roland, Olivia, Alana, & Ryan.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018, in the Seekers 2 classroom at First Baptist Church at the Mall.
