Ai Eng Char

Mrs. Ai Eng Char was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on July 11, 2021 in Lakeland, FL at the age of 85.

She was born on 03/15/1936 in Yangon, Myanmar. After graduating from high school, Ai Eng chased her dreams to be a teacher. Her colleagues knew her as a kind soul, always willing to cheer kids up with hugs. She met her husband, Han Chong Char at the Myanmar-Chinese Community Center. Together, they had 3 children: Hoon Hoon Char (her sons Jason Win (married to Jeanette Win), Cody Win, & Brian Win), Kevin Char (married to Farrah Char- their son Phillip Char), Lih Lih Wong (married to Yu Wong- their 2 children Alan Wong & Kristine Wong).

She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family, traveling, gardening, reading, and watching television shows. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.

On Friday, July 16, 2021, a visitation is scheduled for 9 am to 10 am and the memorial service is scheduled for 10 am to 11 am at the Lakeland Funeral Home, Memorial Gardens & Crematory, followed by final resting place will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park.
