Edmund Joseph Esposito

Edmund Joseph Esposito “Porky” age 79 Lakeland passed away September 8th surrounded by family.  Mr. Esposito was a joy to be around. He loved playing jokes on his family and had nicknames for most. (Which they all now cherish). He never met a stranger and loved spending time with friends and family. He loved to reminisce and could tell the same story and it was funnier than the time before. His family will miss his beautiful heart, wit and willingness to help however he could. He ended his life with 4 cats that adopted him that he adored. 
 Born 1/25/42 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Edmund Richard Esposito and the late Josephine Margaret Stevens (Lackner)  He graduated school in Glenville West Virginia from Gilmer County High School where he played basketball. He retired from Sears and Home Depot with a successful career in Sales due to his outgoing personality.  He is preceded in death by wife Illa Kidd Esposito and brother Robert Hugh Osborn. He is survived by sisters Mary Jo Wade, Kelly (Larry) Lewis. Brother in Laws Kenneth Leland, Roger (Lisa) Leland. 3 children Gina Esposito Streets, Edmund Esposito and Michael (Dana) Esposito, his previous wife and friend and the children’s mother Linda Springer. Six grandchildren Robert (Kendra) Streets, Katie (Matt) Preiner, Luke Esposito, Camden Esposito, Anthony Leferrarra, Shyanne Lockwood. 6 great grandchildren.  His best friend who was family to him Don Russo. Much extended family and friends. Visitation is Friday September 17 at Lakeland Funeral Home 2125 Bartow Rd. From 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital in his memory.
