Eileen Ethel Amee

Eileen E. Amee, 95, of Lakeland, was born on January 8, 1926 to Charles E. and Eileen E Schroeder, in Chicago, IL.

She was a homemaker, a mother of 6, and a dedicated grandmother. She took care of many of her grandkids, and truly enjoyed spending time with her large family. Eileen was an avid reader. She especially loved reading her bible and sharing her love of reading with her family. She was also an animal lover, and adored her childhood dog Major and her cats Abby and Autumn. Eileen was an active member of Cavalry Chapel, and treasured her church family. She was a God loving woman, and tried to do the right thing for everyone. She lived on her own into her 90’s, with the help of two wonderful caregivers, Donna and Betsy.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert S. Amee; brother, Charles E. Schroeder; sons, Robert, Jr., Howard, Stephen; grandson, Mark.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Ted) and Nancy; son, Richard (Reba); 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 from 6 PM- 8PM at Lakeland Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 10 AM on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.

The family will also have a Celebration of Life service at 2 PM on July 11, 2021 at Calvary Chapel, 1041 N. Davis Ave Lakeland, FL.
