Henry "Buddy" Magness

Henry “Buddy” Magness, 79, of Lakeland, passed away on Thursday July 8, 2021. He was born in Helen, GA on December 24, 1941 to George W. Magness and Cora Lee Magness.

Buddy and his wife Helen were long time loyal members of Victory Church. He loved motorcycles and fast cars, and delighted in taking Helen on long bike rides or scenic drives in their car. Buddy enjoyed air boating and his priced gun collection. He was a dedicated and beloved husband and father.

He is preceded in death by his parents George W. and Cora Lee Magness; grandson Scott; sisters, Eunice Rowland, Aleene Walker, Margaret Allerd, Mary Sapp; son-in-law, Raymond Gans.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Helen Magness; children, David (Trish) Magness, Dawn Magness, Debbie Gans; grandchildren, Johnathan, Dallas, Leslie, Mike, Michelle, Jamie, Christie; 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home on Thursday July 15, 2021. Visitation from 1 PM – 2 PM, service begins at 2 PM.
