Mrs. Loretta Rarick, 87, of Lakeland passed away Saturday September 11, 2021. Born in Council Grove Kansas she was the middle daughter of Vernal and Lova Carlson. Loretta married in July of 1954 to Lester Rarick, and became a dedicated Army wife.

In her early years, Loretta loved her job teaching Kindergarten, having many fond memories of her students. Once married, she enjoyed the experience of all the travels being a military wife would bring. When Lester retired, Loretta became the director of the Lakeland Girls Club, worked as a department sales associate, and finally ended her working career as a Media Specialist Assistant at Crystal Lake Middle School. No matter what Loretta was doing, she put her heart into her experience.
Loretta is survived by her 3 daughters, Denise Kunz, Dawn Anspaugh, and Darcy McDonald. She was very proud of them as well as her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Loretta will be laid to rest with Lester at Bushnell in October.

In leu of flowers, the family would rather donations be made to Good Shephard Hospice. Good Shephard was a very caring organization in her final days of need.
