Raul Cubero

Raul Cubero formerly of Lakeland, FL went to be with the Lord Jesus, January 17, 2022.
He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Raul was born on May 10, 1949 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He is survived by his wife of 51 years of marriage, Maria L. Santiago, his daughter Maria Cubero, sons Raul Cubero Jr. and Obed Cubero. His grandsons, Joseph A. Cubero (NY) and Jadrian Cubero. He also has numerous siblings, nephews and nieces in Fl, NY, NJ and Puerto Rico.

Raul was a passionate and talented musician. At the age of 13 years old, he learned to play the guitar on his own. He also played the cuatro (acoustic folkloric instrument from Puerto Rico), piano and other instruments. He enjoyed farming, gardening, playing his guitar and going for rides on his 1987 Suzuki Samurai. Throughout his life, Raul touched many people with his kindness, service, care and love.

There will be a private, family only service. No flower arrangements, please make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family appreciate your prayers and concerns.
